Asteres to provide kiosks to 200 health care facilities

Asteres Inc., a provider of automated kiosks for prescriptions and personal care products in retail, hospital and Veteran's Affairs/Department of Defense (VA/DoD) pharmacies, has signed a purchasing contract agreement with the Premier healthcare alliance.

ScriptCenter, Asteres' kiosks, provide a quick and convenient prescription drop-off and pick-up destination for hospital employees. They can also purchase over-the-counter and personal care products anytime, Linda Pinney, Asteres founder and president, said in a company press release. By offering 24/7 pharmacy services to hospital employees, health care systems are able to keep prescriptions in-house and substantially reduce pharmacy benefit management costs, she said.
